Printing and specialty papers producer in the US, NewPage has unveiled a new 60lb wet strength label paper, OmniPoint designed for large glass and plastic containers used in food, beverage and condiment applications.

The new heavyweight OmniPoint, which joins the company's broader range of label papers, is available with third-party chain-of-custody certifications to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) (BV-COC-953662), the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

NewPage specialty papers sales and marketing executive director David Diekelman said the heavyweight label paper solution meets the customer's needs for consistent quality, durability and label converting performance.

"OmniPoint achieves these critical objectives," Diekelman added.

The label papers range from NewPage includes DuraPoint, ProPoint, LithoPoint and EcoPoint product brands. The company also manufactures specialty papers used in flexible packaging, technical and pressure-sensitive labeling applications.
